We are influenced by two major countries that speak English—England and the United States. Besides pronunciation, the accent is another challenge that Thai people face when speaking English. Six different tasks were given to my peers, who were recorded. The task was to asked the participants to say the Thai alphabet, the Latin alphabet, ten Thai words, fourteen English words, a Thai news headline, and an English news headline. The data revealed that Thai people have difficulty pronouncing English words because the Thai language uses different letters, classes of consonants, tones, and accents. I have to create an eight pages booklet presenting ‘AVENIR’ typeface which was created by Adrian Frutiger. It is very challenging to create a simple packaging that elegant, sleek, full of element of surprise with a limited color choice, and more importantly, I have to keep it sophisticated. Chanel packaging plays such an important role in customers’ experience enhancement. As we could see in many unboxing videos. Customers always delicately unbox Chanel products with care and enjoy every single step to reveal the product inside the box. For this project, I created a minimal and sophisticated black and white Chanel packaging. I still keep the essence of the brand by creating a hand-crafted black box with a final touch of a ‘CHANEL’ word laid-out along the side of the box.
